Complete installation & configuration guide for Courier Center Voucher for WooCommerce

In this guide you’ll see, step-by-step, how to install and configure Courier Center Voucher for WooCommerce, how to correctly enter Courier Center test/live API credentials, how to complete the required test scenario (voucher issuance/printing/cancellation), and how to use the plugin daily directly from WooCommerce orders, with tracking and email notifications.

1) Before you start (API Credentials from Courier Center)

To use the plugin, Courier Center API credentials are required. Typically, Courier Center provides test credentials first (staging) and, after the test is successfully completed, provides the live credentials (production).

You will need:

  • Username (UserAlias)

  • Password (CredentialValue)

  • API Key

Note: If you received separate credentials for test and production, always start with the test ones until Courier Center confirms that the test scenario has been completed successfully.

2) Installation & activation

Installation works like any WooCommerce plugin:

  • Log in to WordPress with administrator permissions.

  • Go to Plugins → Add New.

  • Click Upload Plugin.

  • Select the .zip file you downloaded after purchase.

  • Click Install Now and then Activate.

3) API connection settings (Credentials)

  • Open the plugin settings page (e.g. from VGDev Solutions → Courier Center).

In the API Connection Details section, fill in:

    • Username (UserAlias)

    • Password (CredentialValue)

    • API Key

Save & Connection Test (correct order)

    After filling in the credentials:

    • Click “Save Settings” first, so the new data is stored.

    • Then click “Test Connection” to confirm the communication with Courier Center works correctly.

4) General settings (weight, printing, status, etc.)

In the General Settings section you’ll find options that affect daily operation.

Default weight (kg)

The Default weight (kg) field works as a fallback when weight cannot be calculated.

  • If you leave the field empty, the plugin will automatically pull product weights (as set in WooCommerce) and calculate the total order weight based on them.

  • If some products have no weight, it’s useful to set a safe value (e.g. 1kg or whatever fits your store) to avoid issues when issuing a voucher.

Important: Voucher issuance cannot be completed for an order with zero weight.
Tip: Ideally, set a weight on all products for accurate calculations.

Label / print size

From the Label Size field you choose the default voucher print format, depending on how you print. Available options:

  • A4 / A4 Clean (for A4 printing)

  • Single PDF / Single Clean (1 voucher per PDF file)

  • Single 100×150 / Clean 100×150 (label format 100×150 mm)

  • Single 100×170 / Clean 100×170 (label format 100×170 mm)

Convert to uppercase

If you want recipient details (address etc.) to be converted to uppercase (without accents), enable this option.

Change order status

If you want, you can set an automatic order status change when a voucher is created (or leave it with no change).

5) Test operation (Courier Center test scenario)

Courier Center typically requires confirmation that the following work correctly:

  • voucher issuance

  • voucher printing

  • voucher cancellation

How to enter test credentials

Example format of test credentials (indicative):

  • User: CourierCenterAPITestUser

  • Password: CourierCenterAPITestUser

  • ApiKey: CourierCenterAPITestKey

Fill the above into Username / Password / API Key and proceed with testing.

Step-by-step test

  • Enter the test credentials in the plugin settings and click Save Settings.

  • Click Test Connection and confirm the connection is successful.

  • Create a test order or open an existing order that is Processing.

  • In the order’s right sidebar, inside the Courier Center Voucher box, click Create voucher.

  • Click Print and save the voucher PDF.

  • To complete the test scenario, click Cancel.

  • Inform Courier Center that the test was completed and attach the test voucher PDF.

  • Wait for the live credentials and replace them in the settings.

Warning: Don’t accidentally stay on test credentials, otherwise you’ll keep issuing test vouchers.

6) Issuing a voucher from the order (daily use)

After setup, you manage everything directly from the order:

  • Go to WooCommerce → Orders

  • Open the order

  • In the Courier Center Voucher box, click Create voucher

After issuance, options are usually available such as:

  • Print: download voucher PDF

  • Tracking: view shipment tracking (if supported/returned)

  • Cancel: cancel the voucher when needed

Useful information (voucher fields)

In the voucher box you may see fields such as:

  • Parcels (default 1)

  • Weight

  • Cash on Delivery (when payment is COD)

  • Comments

Important for cancellation: Before cancelling a voucher, it’s recommended/required to follow Courier Center’s process (often communication with Courier Center is needed).

7) Email Tracking & Preview

In Email & Tracking Settings you can enable:

  • Send Tracking Email to the customer when the order is completed

  • Choose the email tracking color (border/button)

  • Preview the email so you can see how it looks before enabling it

8) Debug Mode (logs)

There is a Debug Mode option that logs requests/responses to a log file for troubleshooting.

Use it when:

  • voucher creation fails

  • there is a printing/PDF download issue

  • you need to send technical information to support

Warning: Don’t keep Debug Mode enabled without a reason.

9) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

“Test Connection” fails — what should I check?
  • Make sure you clicked Save Settings before testing.

  • Verify Username / Password / API Key are correct.

  • Check whether a hosting firewall/security plugin blocks outgoing requests.

  • Make sure the order weight is not 0.

  • Add weights to your products or set a Default weight.

  • Confirm the recipient details are correct (address / postal code / phone).

It is sent when the order is completed and there is available tracking / a shipment number (depending on the plugin settings).

10) Print formats / label sizes

The plugin supports the available print templates/formats provided by Courier Center via Web Services. From the “Label Size” setting you can select:

  • A4: standard A4 printing

  • A4 Clean: A4 in a “clean” format (cleaner layout/less info, depending on Courier Center template)

  • Single PDF: one voucher per PDF file

  • Single Clean: one voucher per PDF in “clean” format

  • Single 100×150: one voucher in 100×150 mm

  • Clean 100×150: 100×150 mm in “clean” format

  • Single 100×170: one voucher in 100×170 mm

  • Clean 100×170: 100×170 mm in “clean” format

Note: Vouchers are returned ready-made by Courier Center Web Services. Choose the format that matches your printing workflow (A4 printer or label/thermal printer for 100×150 / 100×170).
